Just to let you know that I have won a week’s holiday to Lefkada in Greece from a competition advertised on your site. Only 4 weeks to go until departure! I have been doing competitions for years – from way back pre-internet when most were postcard entry. Sometimes I have a break for a couple of years and sometimes just do a few now and then when I have time but the old adage applies that “you’ve got to be in it to win it”. It has been good 2 years since I’ve started entering those just before Covid – have to be in it to win it & always pick up your phone I am glad I have answered a call from a private number announcing I’ve won. Check your spam/junk e-mail boxes regularly also.
That reminds me of the time Rosemary threw a competition form into the recycling because, ‘We’ll never win’. I rescued it, smoothed out the creases, entered and won a family trip to Florida!

Are there any competitions that we would be eligible for, ever? Glad you like our holiday competitions page. It’s hard to find non UK based comps that meet our criteria – they have to be free to enter with at least one entry possible even if you don’t have social media.
When we find them I try to make it clear that it’s open worldwide, or specifically for USA residents, but there always seems to be some exclusions!
Right now there are 3 that you might be able to go in for – one prize is a trip to Whistler in Canada, one for Antigua and one a honeymoon at a Sandals resort.

Glad you find The Pork Belly List useful. We have looked at providing an ‘entered’ service but this means everyone would have to set up a profile and log in to our site. Also we’d have to collect and store data from our readers worldwide which would be governed by international data protection laws. At the moment it’s free to use and we don’t store any personal information at all, which is how we prefer to run the site. Good luck with your comping, and let us know if you win.

I’ve been subscribed to your email for some time, but this is the first time I’ve looked at the competitions in quite a while. However, yesterday I had my first Covid jab, so here I am looking at travel giveaways for the first time in about a year. My arm is sore and I’m generally feeing under the weather after a very bad night, but that hasn’t stopped me from feeling optimistic that there is finally light at the of the tunnel.
For those of you who are avid travellers, the best comparison I can make to the after effect of the Covid vaccine is that it is like the Typhoid TAB jab. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow as I was told the side effects don’t last more than 48 hours. Annoyingly my husband had NO side effects apart from a very slight bruised feeling on his arm!

I love your site and enter a lot of competitions through it (though haven’t won anything yet!). What would really make it special is the ability to mark comps I’ve entered so that I don’t try and enter them again next time I “log in”.
Hi Julie, so glad you like the page – and hope you win soon. We’ve looked into the idea you suggest but it would mean users having to log in and create a profile, something we have decided not to do at the moment, mainly to keep the service accessible to all and also because of privacy and GDPR data issues. We’re not ruling it out, if we can find an easy-to-use solution.

The Greek Mamma Mia 14 day holiday is listed here twice. You have it as Win a 14 night Greek island hopping holiday under New Since 16th December and as Win a 14 night island hopping holiday under Added Earlier in 2019. The URLs posted are slightly different, but when you click through to enter they both lead to the exact same URL entry form. Hope you don’t mind me mentioning it, but thought it might lead to people accidentally entering twice if they don’t realise.

Hi Mwari, we sympathise, it’s so frustrating. Because we’re based in the UK Pork Belly finds it easier to find UK/USA comps, but as soon as he finds worldwide ones he puts them up. Good luck and happy comping.
