Nothing can stop that spooky, autumnal vibe, whether it’s a relaxed family pick-a-pumpkin event or a gore-filled fright night.

So push the spooky boat out with one of these Halloween events for the annual scare season – some for adults and some less frightening for kids (and scaredy-cats!).

Billed as the UK’s Scariest Scream Park, this is emphatically NOT for the children!

Twisted minds have devised menacing mazes and pulse-pounding encounters like Gothica, The Body Snatchers, and Manor Mortis.

New for 2026 is WAREHOUSE 669. Halfway through your journey, you’ll uncover a hidden industrial space offering refreshments, but beware, this is no ordinary rest stop. Step inside, and you’ll be in a secret underground rave, complete with live DJs and singers.

Just be careful who you trust… not everyone in Warehouse 669 is there for a good time.

PrimEVIL, Norfolk

Better beware: PrimEvil is an intense, high-adrenaline experience with loud noises, enclosed spaces, and sudden scares.

Prepare for a twisted night of terror and suspense. Navigate sinister corridors, terrifying rooms, and spine-chilling obstacles, all brought to life by our infamous street-performing scare actors. Every shadow hides a scare.

Definitely not one for the kids!

For families, Dippy Dinosaur’s Halloween Days are back with mazes, entertainment and fun crafts, but this year it includes four new haunt mazes for older children. This means some props and haunts from PrimEvil may be visible, so if your young ones are easily scared, best check before you book.

HallowScream and HallowTween at York Maze

Based on a farm where legend says a terrible tragedy occurred in 1873, Hallowscream is a terrifyingly entertaining night of fear and fun. The restless souls who died on that night return each Halloween to torment those who dare to visit.

There are 5 live-action haunted house attractions, roving characters and live stage shows, and you must be at least 16 years old to brave Rednecks Revenge, the Fleshpot and other ghastly delights.

But for those aged 10 to 15 (or adults of a nervous disposition) there’s the slightly less scary Hallowtween which runs daytimes between 24th and 31st October.

This place really doesn’t need to do anything extra to scare the pants off you, but what better time of the year to come face to face with the capital’s most notorious characters.

Will you evade murderous barber Sweeney Todd, the Plague Doctor and the gruesome Torturer? Or perhaps you’ll bump into Mary Jane Kelly before she encounters Jack the Ripper.

This year dare you face The Curse of The Mummy?

Billed as Europe’s largest scream park, the annual Shocktober Fest has been running since 1996 and is famous for its immersive scare experiences, talented performances, great designs and a splattering of comedy.

Named Scream Park of the Year in the 2026 UK theme park awards it’s a fangtastic fixture in the UK Halloween Events calendar.

New this year is Pumpkin Valley, a totally non-scary option.

Wander winding paths, cross wooden bridges over gentle streams and linger beside peaceful ponds. There you will discover giant pumpkin sculptures, the charming Pumpkin Farm House and a picturesque Hobbit House, all surrounded by vibrant pumpkins and blooming chrysanthemums.

Screamfest, Staffordshire

Billed as the ultimate scream park in the Midlands, Screamfest was runner-up to Tulley’s for this year’s Scream Park of the Year.

Definitely not recommended for anyone under 16!

Celebrating 25 years of fear, and winner of the UK Theme Park Awards gold medal for best large Halloween event, Fright Nights are back with a brand-new scare maze, Tenement along with all the usual spine-tingling scare zones designed to keep you on edge all night long.

Yvel’s Survival Games are darker than ever. Can you escape the maze before Harmony claims you? There’s a new spine-chilling film Blood Red Roses, and playtime turns gruesome in the twisted Toymaker’s lair.

Taking the silver medal in this year’s UK Theme Park Awards for the best large Halloween events, Scarefest promises spooky days and frightful nights of fun, thrills and spine-tingling terror, with some lighter daytime rides for the younger ones.

Fun and freaky Halloween friends wait in the multicoloured Courtyard playground, ready to put on spooktacular shows.

But at night you can enjoy hideously horrible times. Daring guests can face the head-spinning, hair-raising rides and attractions in darkness, including The Smiler, Nemesis Reborn and Wicker Man!

Breathe a sigh of relief, Halloween at Warwick Castle is suitable for all.

The castle comes alive with frightful delights as The Headless Horseman roams the grounds and cobwebs and creatures hang from the walls.

For children aged 10 and over there’s a slightly scarier addition – the Castle Dungeon where you’ll encounter Warwick’s most gruesome and grizzly history, with true stories, ‘orrible actors, and hilarious surprises in store.

Awarded UK’s best scream park in 2019 and again in 2022, FEAR Scream Park is home to 5 terrifying scare mazes, a fire show, thrilling funfair rides, and street entertainment, making sure that nowhere is safe.

Strictly 16s and over only, but they have a less scary option, FEARless for 11-15 year olds on 24th, 29th, 30th, 31st October.
