Hi Susan, Thanks so much for your message and for using the site! I list the competitions in weekly batches (starting Mondays) because it keeps things simple and easy to update. Instead of sorting by closing dates, I’ve added a search button on the page so you can quickly find competitions by month. That way, if you’re only looking for comps ending in, say, October or November, you can jump straight to them. Happy comping and when you win do let us know.

Just to let you know that I have won a week’s holiday to Lefkada in Greece from a competition advertised on your site. Only 4 weeks to go until departure! I have been doing competitions for years – from way back pre-internet when most were postcard entry. Sometimes I have a break for a couple of years and sometimes just do a few now and then when I have time but the old adage applies that “you’ve got to be in it to win it”. This is the first win for quite some time but all I can say is, perseverance has paid off big time. We have looked into doing something on the site to help people track their entries but have decided not to, as we want to keep the page accessible for all. To make it possible our site would have to capture data from our readers, set up profiles, create logins etc which involves systems to comply with GDPR regulations. We know this puts some people off, so we prefer to keep it open and free to use for everyone, with no strings attached.

Glad you like our holiday competitions page. It’s hard to find non UK based comps that meet our criteria – they have to be free to enter with at least one entry possible even if you don’t have social media.
When we find them I try to make it clear that it’s open worldwide, or specifically for USA residents, but there always seems to be some exclusions!
Right now there are 3 that you might be able to go in for – one prize is a trip to Whistler in Canada, one for Antigua and one a honeymoon at a Sandals resort.

Glad you find The Pork Belly List useful. We have looked at providing an ‘entered’ service but this means everyone would have to set up a profile and log in to our site. Also we’d have to collect and store data from our readers worldwide which would be governed by international data protection laws. At the moment it’s free to use and we don’t store any personal information at all, which is how we prefer to run the site. Good luck with your comping, and let us know if you win.

I’ve been subscribed to your email for some time, but this is the first time I’ve looked at the competitions in quite a while. However, yesterday I had my first Covid jab, so here I am looking at travel giveaways for the first time in about a year. My arm is sore and I’m generally feeing under the weather after a very bad night, but that hasn’t stopped me from feeling optimistic that there is finally light at the of the tunnel.
For those of you who are avid travellers, the best comparison I can make to the after effect of the Covid vaccine is that it is like the Typhoid TAB jab. Hopefully I will feel better tomorrow as I was told the side effects don’t last more than 48 hours. Annoyingly my husband had NO side effects apart from a very slight bruised feeling on his arm!

We’ve looked into the idea you suggest but it would mean users having to log in and create a profile, something we have decided not to do at the moment, mainly to keep the service accessible to all and also because of privacy and GDPR data issues. We’re not ruling it out, if we can find an easy-to-use solution.
