Perfect vegan pizza to make at home

Say farewell plain old Margherita and hello Parmigiana Party!

Mmmmm pizza!

The perfect comfort food for winter evenings – and languishing lockdowns.

We make no secret of our enthusiasm for the vegan pizzas and dairy-free cheeses of Purezza and we can’t wait to return to their restaurant when it’s safe.

We were invited to visit their first restaurant which opened in Brighton in 2015

Since then they’ve opened branches in Camden, Hove and Bristol.

Now they’ve launched their own recipe book so you can recreate your favourite dishes at home.

And you don’t have to be vegan to enjoy these recipes, just a fan of great tasting food made with fresh (and occasionally unusual) ingredients.

In the book, owners Stefania Evangelisti and Tim Barclay, along with multi-award winning Neapolitan pizza chef Filippo Rosato, spill the beans on how to make their brilliant bases, special sauces, delectable dips and tasty toppings.

All recipes are meat-free and many are gluten-free too.

With this in your kitchen you’ll be able to craft plant-based pizza, pasta and desserts to wow your friends and family.

The recipes are clear and easy to follow.

They’ve held back a few trade secrets so don’t expect all your favourite dishes to be revealed (although the irresistible Tiramisu is included) but hey even pizza palaces need to keep some mysteries.
